This project consists of the following improvements: replacement of the existing water main, valves, and replacement/transfer of all water service connections on Queens Road from Fleetwood Drive to the end of road, as well as Doreen Court, Carla Court, and Lois Court. The work generally consists of abandoning the existing water main in-place and construction of approximately 4,500 feet of ductile iron pipe, valves, service, and appurtenances, testing and sterilization, and pavement restoration of all disturbed roadway areas. The Township of Rockaway does not release project estimates or bidders' lists. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C 17-27. This bid has been advertised in accordance with the "Fair and Open Bases" and nothing further shall be required under the Pay-to-Play legislation (N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.7) All bids must be submitted on the bid proposal forms approved and provided for in the bid specifications in order to be considered. Bidders are to provide one (1) bid clearly sealed and marked ORIGINAL, one (1) bid clearly marked COPY and one electronic copy on CD/Flash Drive It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure that the bid package is delivered by the bid opening date and time. Any bid documents received after the bid opening time will not be accepted, regardless of the method of delivery. Bids may be submitted by certified mail, return receipt requested, regular mail or hand delivery. Express and overnight delivers must arrive to the Office of the Business Administrator no later than the time of bid opening.
