The RFQ services are to include the following: To sand blast and remove all of the old-line paint from the main runway. Clean and prepare the runway by sweeping sand and other debris from the runway surface and prepare the runway surface for new low VOC (volatile organic compound) acetone acrylic traffic paint. All paints to meet Federal and Provincial regulations and guidelines. The paint used will be a low VOC acetone acrylic traffic paint. All equipment to install the paint properly and safely. All labour to properly install the runway lines on the runway 12/30. Please note that the airport runways will be closed to air-traffic while the contractor is conducting the work. To that end, the contractor will give the City 2 weeks notice of when they will be in the City to paint the lines so that the City may notify Transport Canada and issue a Notification to Airmen (NOTAM) that the airport will be closed.
