UHN is looking for experienced Building Science Engineers/Consultants who: a. Will work in partnership with UHN to complete various capital and redevelopment projects (i.e. renovations, new installations, repairs) within our acute care hospitals and community sites. b. Has sufficient employees with a broad service offering that can address the full scope as described in this document; c. Will work closely with a diverse team of UHN staff including but not limited to engineering, maintenance, project managers, project coordinators and infection prevention and control practitioners. d. Understands the requirements of working in occupied clinical spaces of an acute care hospital and/or health care facilities employing strict infection control measures. e. Will work diligently with all municipal building authorities, to ensure that all approvals are in place, and all issues with regard to safety and compliance are addressed before, during and after project completion. f. Can assist UHN staff with finding cost effective solutions utilizing current and innovative technologies. g. Is committed to upholding the highest standards in preventing harm to their workers, as well as UHN patients, visitors and staff while providing services to our hospitals and/or health care facilities. h. Will ensure that UHN does not suffer unnecessary downtime associated with prolonged response time, poor quality workmanship or faulty materials The Work is to be performed from the contract award date (anticipated to be September 2023) for a period of 3 years.
