City of Fernley North Fernley Area Plan The City of Fernley is soliciting proposals from qualified planning consultants to create a new portion of the Comprehensive Master Plan known as the North Fernley Area Plan. This plan is anticipated to provide a guide for the future development of the area with specific focus on issues such as transportation/traffic, land use and zoning, development standards, flooding and drainage, infrastructure, community services, parks and open space, financing, and implementation. A more detailed scope of services is listed in the RFP. The consultant will work in close collaboration with the City's staff, elected officials, developers, and the community to develop a sustainable Area Plan reflecting a unified vision for the growth and development of north Fernley. The City anticipates the following general timeline for its selection process. The City reserves the right to change this schedule. Contract Approval at City Council September 20, 2023.
