The Board invites qualified Bidders to Tender for the supply of all labour, materials, equipment and services required for the Benchmark Renovations to G.L. Armstrong Elementary School in accordance with the specifications and drawings prepared by the Consultant, NGA Architects. a. Replacement of the existing corridor ceilings. b. Renovation to Gym 109 and Gym 114 to meet current HWDSB design guidelines. c. New HVAC system for Gym 109. d. Washroom renovations for staff and student washrooms as identified in the Tender Documents. e. Renovations to Art Classroom 141,. f. Music Classroom 140, 140A and 140B. g. Science Classroom 207, and h. Learning Commons 132. i. Demolition and abatement as required to facilitate the construction. j. Construction phasing as identified in the Tender Documents as Work is to continue into the 2024/2025 school year. Abatement subcontractors are prequalified as well. Pinchin performed the assessment on January 30 and February 13, 2023, April 4, May 2, and May 3 2024. The surveyors were unaccompanied during the assessment. The assessed area was unoccupied at the time of the assessment. The objective of the assessment was to identify specified hazardous building materials in preparation for building renovation. The renovation work being conducted includes renovations to the Gyms, Corridors, and Washrooms. The results of this assessment are intended for use with a properly developed scope of work or performance specification. Phase 1: Friday June 28, 2024 to August 23, 2024. Phase 2: September 1, 2024 to December 20, 2024. Ready for Take-Over: Friday, January 3, 2025.
