Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Dolores, Colorado. Working plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Bid Cancelled. As per the Owner the project has been cancelled. Editorial Content Team is actively seeking updated information. Cancellation Description Due to unavailablity of Urine Diversion Toilet the Solicitation is Canceled and will not be resolicited. Confirmation from CORBowman, Tucker - FS, CO Tucker.Bowman@usda.govSent: Friday, July 21, 2023 1:52 PM Jersey Jim Urine Diversion Toilet - San Juan USNF The Contractor will be required to provide all materials, equipment, and labor to pump the existing vault toilet prior to building and vault demolition. The existing building and vault are to then be completely demolished and removed from the site. The Contractor will then be required to provide all materials, personnel, and equipment to install a single vault urine diversion toilet (UDT). The UDT will be the Grand Poohbah Toilet from Toilet Tech Solutions with the Silver Drain Field (or approved equal). It is expected that the materials, personnel, and equipment needed to install the UDT will be minimal compared to a typical single vault concrete toilet. The UDT is often used in remote applications, therefore most of the work can be done by hand. See attached 3.1 - San Juan UDT Complete Drawing Set for an overview of the site, general building layout, and other details. 1 SCOPE OF CONTRACT The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools, supervision, and other incidentals necessary to repair various facility elements as specified in this Statement of Work and all applicable documents contained in this solicitation. Background: The single vault toilet at Jersey Jim Lookout on the San Juan National Forest was built in the 1960's and has reached its end of useful life. The toilet can no longer meet the needs of the Forest due to either ongoing maintenance costs, pumping costs, or a change in Forest requirements. It has been determined that the best course of action is to demolish the existing structure and replace with new, more robust toilet system that reduces pumping costs, addresses a variety of environmental concerns, and provides the Forest Service the ability to perform a case study on new toilet technology (urine diversion). The new toilet is expected to meet the ongoing needs of the Forest over the next several decades. 2 PROJECT LOCATION Jersey Jim Lookout Tower, Dolores Ranger District, SJNF The site is located at Jersey Jim Lookout Tower, Dolores, CO 81323. From the Dolores District Ranger Office, head 17 miles east on Highway 184. Turn onto County Road 42 and stay on the road for 5.3 miles until it turns into Forest Service Road (FSR) 561. Follow FSR 561 for 8 miles - the lookout tower will be on the right-hand side. The site coordinates are 37.49749566947145, -108.18346499815063 3 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $50,000 - $100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
