Site work and paving for a road / highway in Galt, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The City of Galt (City) is soliciting this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified professional engineering consultants for professional engineering and environmental services for the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) including bid and award phase services. This RFP covers three different projects, and will be awarded to one consultant. The Kost Road Improvements at Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Crossing Project will be funded with federal funds from the Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP), the Walnut Improvements Project will be funded with federal and local funds from the State Transportation Improvements Program and RSTP, and Fourth Street Promenade Extension Project is anticipated to be funded with funds from Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ). All projects must comply with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Caltrans requirements for federally funded projects pursuant to the latest Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM), Capital Outlay Program Guidelines Local Assistance Programs Guide (LAPG) and per Cooperative Agreement between the City and Caltrans. Therefore, the consultant must be aware of and compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for all three projects is 10%.. Construction is anticipated to begin 2025 and end 2027.
