Through a General Services Agreement (Agreement), Elevators services are required at the fortyone facilities listed in Exhibit F (Schedule of Values). Base services at each facility may include servicing of Conveyance Systems including maintenance and repairs. The selected firm shall provide a single point of contact for its operational responsibilities. During the term of the Agreement, the City of Glendale will have the right to request additional services as-needed, and to add or reduce the number of services at its sole discretion. The Contractor shall submit to The City Representative a schedule defining dates and times for all services and tasks. The Contractor shall provide and use adequate barricades and signs to provide sufficient warning prior to, during and after the performance of services. At its expense, a Bidder must obtain and submit with its Bid a "Bid Bond" ("bond") or a Cashier's Check ("check") drawn on a solvent bank, payable to the City of Glendale, for Ten Percent (10%) of Base Bid At its expense, the successful Bidder must obtain and furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor/Materials (Payment) Bond, using the form[s] attached to the IFB, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the annual dollar value of the Contract price. The Services in this IFB are subject to the provisions of California Labor Code Section 1720 and 1720.2. The successful Bidder awarded a Contract and all subcontractors of any tier must not pay less than the minimum prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to perform the Services. The City must receive the Request for Clarification on or before 3PM on July 24, 2023. The Services described in this IFB and in the proposed Contract are for a period of five (5) years, beginning on October 1, 2023 and ending on September 30, 2028. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any or all information or technical defects, as the interest of the City may require. Award of Contract or rejection of Bids will be made by the City within ninety (90) calendar days following the Bid Deadline. City Council meetings are regularly scheduled on Tuesday evenings.
