The RM of Lumsden No. 189 is seeking competitive proposals from the private sector for professional maintenance services for the Organized Hamlet of Deer Valley infrastructure. Contractors are invited to submit proposals for the provision of the services and materials as specified in this RFP. The RFP will be conducted with the objective of maximizing the service and cost benefit to the R.M. of Lumsden and Deer Valley citizens. Proposals should provide a clear and concise description of the applicant's ability to meet the requirement of the RFP. Service work will may include the following;, however, the description of service is not meant to limit normal safety requirements or service delivery expectations indicated in this RFP: -Plowing/removing snow from roads, streets and any internal roads -Sanding of Hills within the Hamlet -Road repairs which includes crack sealing and spot patching -Sign straightening, replacement & new installation -Mowing along all road allowances and municipal reserves where required including loose garbage pickup and removal from mowing areas and Trimming around trees and sign posts. -Weed control -Pest control -Street Sweeping -De-icing agents must be environmentally- friendly and approved as safe for use on concrete and asphalt surfaces. -Snow shall be placed in designated areas that will prevent melt water from draining back onto cleared surfaces. -Snow removal operation should not impede homeowner access or egress from their properties. Additional Information: An agreement will be made for a two year term with provision for an extension of one additional year, if mutually agreed upon.
