The Kenton County Fiscal Court, herein referred to as "County" is requesting proposals for the replacement of fencing on Richardson Road and Independence Station Road, which is located on the perimeter of the Kenton County Golf Courses. The Golf Courses of Kenton County are located at 3908 Richardson Road, Independence KY 41051. A Bid Bond amounting to five (5%) percent of the proposed bid/proposal price must be provided with the response. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a surety bond, cashier check or other form of surety satisfactory to the county attorney. If the contract is awarded to the bonded bidder, the bidder will accept the contract as bid, or else the surety will pay the Fiscal Court a specific amount because of default on part of the bidder. A Performance Surety Bond amounting to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price must be provided prior to execution of the contract assuring Kenton County that the project will be pursued with due diligence and completed according to the plans and specifications. Scope of Work *Select details for the scope of work was provided through a quote by Mills Fence to determine financial feasibility of project Contractor shall furnish and install: - The fencing to be replaced should only be the road front fencing that is visible to the general public/road. - Provide and install approximately 4,204 feet of 6' high black vinyl 6 gauge chain link fence with top rails. - Posts and top rails should be schedule 40 - Fence is to be attached to post with standard banding - Provide and install three (3) 10' wide double drive gates in approved locations by the County. - Posts to be 3" terminals, 2 1/2 line post and 1 5/8 top rail. - Fence to be 6' high 6 gauge black vinyl 2" diamond. - All posts to be 30" in ground and set in concrete - Posts should be 10 ft. spacing and 8 1/2 feet long. - Fence should be installed in same location as existing. - Selected vendor should remove and haul away existing 6' high chain link fence - County should approve all materials to be used
