The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: This project consists of alterations and additions to the existing Fire Station No. 3 building as well as a new 11,000 sf Fire Station No. 3 building with new parking lot, drainage, utilities and landscaping. This Complex will be designed to withstand a 180mph wind speed. The existing 10,700 sf facility will be renovated into a new Training Center with a 6,300 sf Administration area added. All new work will be slab on grade, concrete spread footing foundation with load bearing masonry walls, brick veneer exterior with smooth face CMU accent bands with aluminum roof structure entry features. All structures (existing and new) will receive new aluminum curtain wall fenestration as well as a modified bitumen membrane roof, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical and telecommunications. Interior finishes will include porcelain tile, luxury vinyl tile, acoustic ceiling tiles and other finishes. The Fire Station will also utilize bi-fold and overhead Bay Doors. Work shall be completed in Phases as explained in Article 1.4 of this Section and Section 004113 - Bid Form - Stipulated Sum.
