Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 145,575-square-foot, five-story above grade clubhouse / community center.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") is to invite Proposals from qualified and experienced firms to select a Proponent to provide construction management and construction services (collectively, "Construction Management at Risk") for the Christine Sinclair Tenant Improvement (T.I.) project ("the project"). The City owned Christine Sinclair Community Centre ("CSCC") is located at 3713 Kensington Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5B 0A7. The tenant improvement will include approximately 10,000 square feet of multipurpose space that may accommodate a coffee service space, lounge, community meeting rooms, administrative offices, and activity rooms. The CM will work with the consultant team from schematic design to develop the T.I. application and contract documents for tender. The project is on a tight timeline as it will be initially used to accommodate the programs displaced from the Confederation Park Senior's centre scheduled to be demolished in the spring of 2024. The City would like to target a Q1 2024 move-in to the renovated space at CSCC. A Certified Professional will be part of the Consultant team to will assist in accelerating the building permit application process.
