A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: CR Number: 2100026 Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a firm to provide Engineering Design Services to rehabilitate and modernize the existing Emergency Power distribution system in the Health Sciences Tower (HST) and Basic Sciences Tower (BST). Scope of Work: Stony Brook University Hospital needs an Engineer (Consultant) who will provide all professional services as may be necessary for the modernization of the existing HSC/BST Emergency Power Distribution System. These services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: a. Survey and collect field information. b. Review Codes and Standards c. Provide a design for an upgraded emergency power distribution system, including a new 1500kVa generator to be housed in the existing East Campus Power Plant. d. Determine if the existing feeders serving the HSC/BST can accommodate additional future load (+20% of existing) and a new 1500kVa generator. e. Provide design for new feeder runs throughout building and to Existing East Campus Power Plant as necessary. f. Provide schedule for all new and existing feeder cables and conduits. g. Provide short circuit, load, and arc flash coordination study reports. h. Provide Design Development (DD) to address SBU/SBUH needs for current emergency power system and future capacity upgrades along with new 1500kVA generator. i. Provide Construction Documents (CD) to address SBU/SBUH needs for current emergency power system and future capacity upgrades. j. Provide Bid Review and Services for the implementation of final design. k. Provide Construction Administration (CA) for the implementation of final design. l. Participate in Field Meetings with Stony Brook Medicine PMO and School of Medicine (SOM) m. Construction Administration / Commissioning n.
