Renovation of a stadium in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
Previously approved work includes: Sand blasting and treating the existing arena ceiling joists with corrosion resistant coating; parking lot redevelopment; locker room renovations; pool deck upgrades; boiler replacement; HVAC upgrades; Solar Panel installation; and heat recapture system (Estimated total cost of $6.7 million). Work to be approved by the regional council: a centralized point of entry; a full size gymnasium; a new walking track on the mezzanine level; a boat launch with floating dock; accessibility upgrades; and roof replacement over the south wing. TIMELINE: Plans are conceptual. Scope of work and schedules for design, tender and construction are subject to capital funding allocation as of 2027-2028. Design and construction may be 3-7 years out. Further update may be available in 2027.
