Renovation of a mixed-use development in Costa Mesa, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Orange County Superintendent of Schools is requesting bids for the Roof Removal and Replacement Project. Any technical or procedural questions regarding the Bid documents and/or Project must be submitted in writing to Patricia McCaughey at pmccaughey@ocde.us. Written Requests for Information (RFI) must be received no later than 10:00:00 a.m.PST on July 31, 2023. Any request made after such date and time will not be addressed. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300. The SUPERINTENDENT requires that the successful contractor must possess a C-39 California Contractor's License valid and active in the State of California at the time the bid is awarded and throughout the duration of the Project. Any contractor not so specifically licensed at the time the bid is awarded will be rejected as nonresponsive. The contractors California State License number shall be clearly stated on contractor's bid response. Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the work called for in the Bid documents. Each contractor's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of contractor's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the SUPERINTENDENT (3) a certified check made payable to the SUPERINTENDENT; or (4) a contractor's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the SUPERINTENDENT in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. Such contractor's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the contractor will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such contractor, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. All bonds, (Bid, Performance and Payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120.
