Deadline for Submitting Written Questions November 20th, 2023 @5:00p.m. Museum Display Building (E100) is an existing building/structure at the HMFM. The building is in deteriorating condition and requires preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration in order to bring it back to its original condition. The work on the E100 Museum Display Building will focus on removal of exterior siding to allow for new homosote interior finish installation along with plywood sheeting to improve the buildings structural capabilities. The buildings roof will be removed and replaced with a new asphalt rolled roof to bring it back to its original historic condition. The buildings interior will have electricity brought to it and have new electrical installed. Minor mechanical systems such as wall heaters for shoulder season and venting will be added. Historic windows will be restored and installed where needed and new doors will be built to match historic conditions. Work completed will be based off of the Secretary of Interiors Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. As a publicly accessible space we will need to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Please see Section 5 for the full list of scopes of work associated with this building. The Owner anticipates entering into a construction contract as soon as possible. The contract period will end no later than October 31st, 2024(excludes warranty period). The offeror may not modify, withdraw, or cancel a Submission for a 120-day period following the RFP due date. Regardless of cause, late Submissions of Proposals will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified from consideration. The Offeror is solely responsible for all costs incurred prior to contract execution. The RFP in no way constitutes a commitment by the County to award and execute a contract. If such actions are deemed in its best interests, the County, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to: Cancel or terminate this RFP; Reject any or all Statements of Qualifications received in response to this RFP Waive any undesirable, inconsequential, or inconsistent provisions of this RFP If awarded, suspend contract execution; or terminate the resulting contract if the County determines adequate county funds are not available. Please provide a complete base bid for both the Museum Display Building (E100) & the Interment Artifact Storage Building (W100) based off of the above listed related documents and the general requirements. We have tried to separate these two buildings since there are different scopes of work for both but it is intended that all scopes of work for both buildings are covered, there will be overlap in Civil work, Landscaping, & Electrical.
