The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is accepting bids for Sanding Material 1A-Location Missoula Area. Additional details regarding the solicitation can be viewed by logging into eMACS and reviewing the requirements of this solicitation. Questions or information relating to either specifications or requirements of this solicitation must be asked through the eMACS Q&A Board. Potential bidders must log into eMACS to submit a question on the Q&A Board. Be sure to certify and submit your response once completed. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to produce 1,800 tons or 1,200 cubic yards of sanding material. Add 20% contractor furnished salt by weight to 1,800 tons of sanding material or add 20% contractor furnished salt by weight to 1,200 cubic yards of sanding material. Contractor is required to stack all blended material in the salt sand storage facility using a minimum 60' hopper fed stacker belt. Stockpile material to facilitate water runoff. DESIGNATED CONTRACT DATE: WORK CANNOT BEGIN UNTIL AFTER: JULY 1, 2023 WORK IS REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE: OCTOBER 27, 2023 CONTRACT COMPLETION DATE: The successful bidder may, at their own risk, perform preparatory materials work only for this contract prior to July 1, 2023. However, the Department will not accept delivery of material or make payment for any work or pay item prior to July 1, 2023. A purchase order must be issued and in place prior to the commencement of any work for the Department.
