Saving Project...

Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. Working plans call for the renovation of a 12,400-square-foot educational facility; and for the construction of a 110,000-square-foot educational facility.

Project scope includes approximately 110,000 gross square feet of new building construction, site development, parking areas, drives and infrastructure improvements and the renovation of 12,400 of existing to remain spaces on the main campus. The buildings will consist of educational spaces and required support spaces for both high and standard ceiling height laboratories, classrooms, covered storage, faculty, staff and student support spaces. Laboratories will be designed to simulate a work environment for practical applications. Project may include planning for future project on a separate site. Final phase will include demolition of vacated buildings and abandoned utilities, adaptation of vacated space for the completion of the site development of the work. This project will include multiple phases and early release of contract documents and equipment procurement package. As of August 14, 2024, the drawings are at 50% design development. An architect and a construction manager / general contractor have been selected. Advertisement for bidding is anticipated to occur in first quarter 2025, with construction to follow in spring 2025.
