Site work, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Working plans call for site work for a recreation facility; clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
Development east of Yonge Street and south of Cummer Avenue for construction of a 6,000 square meter public Park on Olympic Garden Drive. The new public park will include A large play area with swings and a sculptural climber, and a multi-use plaza with: Splash Pad, Shade structure with café-style tables and chairs underneath, outdoor fitness area (actual fitness equipment to be determined), Games tables, Ping pong/table tennis, a large open lawn area, with surrounding seating, bench seating throughout the park, tree planting and native planting beds (plant material to be determined at a later date), and pedestrian pathway that connecting the park to Yonge Street and Deering Crescent. The new park design will provide light levels and sightlines that will conform to best practices for public safety. All pathways and walkways will be fully accessible. TIMELINE: The city is working with the developer of Newtonbrook Plaza for the development of the site. Design is complete. Tender is expected early fall 2024 for construction start fall/winter 2024.
