Construction began September 2, 2025 and is expected to be complete November 14, 2025. Various Traffic Signal Systems Throughout Stearns County TYPE OF WORK: Traffic Signal Modifications, Pedestrian Ramp Improvements Approximate major items of work are: 6" Concrete Walk 1380 SQ FT Concrete Curb & Gutter 460 LF Revise Signal System 20 SYS This section of County Road 157 is a 4.6-mile major collector roadway that serves residential, agricultural and commuter traffic. The roadway is a former trunk highway with an 18-foot concrete section beneath bituminous pavement. The existing road has 12-foot lanes with gravel shoulders averaging a four foot width. The terrain is mostly flat with several areas of wetland surrounding it. The 2017 AADT varies from 1400 at the westerly end to 2450 at the easterly end. Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond in favor of the County Auditor/Treasurer of Stearns County for at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal. Bids will be considered for award of Contract at the first regular meeting of the Stearns County Board of Commissioners following the opening of bids. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
