As of July 31, 2023, the owner has canceled this solicitation. 1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project shall provide a 500kVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units in Building 600 to support the operations of Room/Lab 350 located on Naval Base Point Loma Seaside, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Project scope includes but is not limited to: o Demolition of 400Hz distribution system in Room 159. o Provide a 500kVA UPS including associated batteries, battery cabinets, and maintenance bypass switch in Room 159. Integrate UPS into existing electrical distribution system serving Room 350. o Refeed Panels "3LA" and "MGB-A" from new electrical source; and demolishing existing panel feeder circuits, transformers, and distribution equipment. o Replace fan coil unit in Rooms 159 to accommodate new UPS units and existing equipment. OPTION ITEM 0001 Firm Fixed Price (Lump Sum) including all labor, equipment, and materials to provide a 500kVA UPS in Building 600 to support operations of Room/Lab 360 located on Naval Base Point Loma Seaside, Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Option scope includes but is not limited to: o Demolition and rework of 400Hz distribution system in Room 161. o Provide a 500kVA UPS including associated batteries, battery cabinets, and maintenance bypass switch in Room 161. Integrate UPS into existing electrical distribution system serving Room 360. o Replace fan coil unit in Room 161 to accommodate new UPS units and existing equipment. The project is subject to prevailing wage and the Buy American Act. This is a Design Build Contract.
