Site work for a civil project in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work is to provide construction services to conduct repairs at the water control structure at the Echo Lake Dam to extend the structure for an approximate 10 year period. The specific scope includes: Removal of sand bags and metal debris, and relocation of sediment on the existing control structure slab. Replacement of all existing wooden bearing blocks within the stoplog/gate slots with new wooden bearing blocks. Installation of new steel pier plates upstream of all existing stoplog/gate slots. Replacement of all existing wooden stoplog packs with new wooden stoplog packs. Replacement of the existing riparian outlet gate and associated components with a new steel bulkhead. Replacement of the existing lattice barrier on the north side of the timber work platform with a new lattice barrier. Removal of the existing corrugated plastic half pipe and construction of a new rock rip rap drainage swale. Providing temporary measures to create still water conditions within each control structure bay to facilitate the underwater work. Removal of sediment bar at the entrance to the channel.
