This project is part of North Harris County Regional Water Authority's (Authority) surface water supply system plan. The surface water supply plan consists of transmission systems to transition member Districts from primarily ground water to surface water in order to comply with the Harris-Galveston Coastal Subsidence District's (HGCSD) regulatory plan. The work is within the pavement of Mittlesteadt Road and Authority easements. Work within the water plant sites includes, but is not limited to site piping, flow control and meter stations, tank connections, chemical treatment, electrical components, and instrumentation. The prevailing wages (including fringe benefits) as adopted for this contract are based upon a survey performed under the Davis-Bacon Act. Thus, determinations in regard to fringe benefits, to the extent practicable, will be based upon the standards set forth in the following federal regulations.
