Renovation of a mixed-use development in Dallas, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As of September 28, 2023 this project was awarded to Wilson Bauhaus, with the awarded amount of $143,181.29 The LIB project will be a renovation of floors 2, 3, and 4 of the Gibson D. Lewis Library of approximately 23,000GSF (gross square feet). This is a facility that is available to students 24/7 and will remain open and occupied during construction. The facility has worn and/or dated finishes throughout (with the exception of the recently renovated 1st floor and a small portion for the 4th floor). Renovation will include new finishes, flooring, evaluation of the stairs for conformance to the International Building Code (IBC), assessment of space utilization concerns, and furnishings. Substantial completion anticipated to be December 2024. The MET 4th Floor Renovation project will convert existing space into the new Nursing School Dean's Suite consisting of private offices, hybrid classroom space, breakroom, open spaces, and conference/huddle rooms. All questions must be received no later than 2:00p.m. CDT on August 8, 2023. All questions and answers will be posted to the website by 5:00p.m. CDT on August 10, 2023. The Contractor shall provide and maintain insurance, performance bond, and payment bond has required, the minimum insurance coverage and bonding requirements are stated in Division 00, Section 007000, UNTS Uniform General Conditions. The prevailing wage schedule is not a representation that qualified labor adequate to perform the Work is available locally at the prevailing wage rates. When requested, Contractor shall furnish competent evidence of compliance with the Texas Prevailing Wage Law and the addresses of all workers. Damages will be assessed at $1000.00 per day, past substantial completion date. Liquidated Damages will be assessed on a per project basis. The Owner reserves the right to: (a) enter into agreements or other contractual arrangements for all or any portion of the Scope of Work set forth in this Proposal with one or more respondents; (b) reject any and all offers and re-solicit offers; or (c) reject any and all offers and temporarily or permanently abandon this procurement, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner. construction cost of $9,500,000.00. HUB goal of 28% for building construction
