Site work for a water / sewer project in Fairfax, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are hereby solicited for the mechanical or hydraulic wet dredging of approximately 2,315 CY of sediment from the Fairfax County Storm water facility (0047WP) at the West Ox Road Maintenance Facility. The major items of work consist of: (1) site preparation (2) mechanical or hydraulic wet dredging, (3) hauling sediment with contractor choice of wet or dry hauling, (4) site restoration after the dredging is completed, and (5) outfall repair. Construction stakeout is the Contractor's responsibility. Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids. This is a Lump Sum price Contract. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the Director, Utilities Design & Construction Division, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 463, Fairfax, VA 22035-0056, or by emailing DPWESCAPUDCDStormwaterlnquirv@fairfaxcounty.gov, and to be given consideration, questions must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated.
