Central Middle School Renovation Furniture and Waterloo Career Center Expansion Furniture Work of Project includes furnishings for the remodeling of designated areas at Central Middle School and newly constructed Career Center Expansion building, 1350 Katoski Dr., Waterloo, Iowa, completion by December 2023. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash deposit, Cashier's Check or a Certified Check on a solvent Bank chartered under the laws of the United States in the amount of not less than 5%, nor more than 10% of the proposal submitted therewith. Bid Security shall be made payable to the Treasurer of WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish a satisfactory surety bond, refuse to enter into contract on the basis of the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this Notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw the proposal for a period of thirty calendar (30) days after the date and hour set for opening of bids. The work under the Contract shall be commenced immediately after execution of the Owner-Contractor Agreement and substantially completed by a mutually agreed upon date, all as set forth in contractual documents.
