Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor to provide the repair of the Matlacha Fishing Pier. The work that is to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing labor, material, equipment, supplies, transportation, fuel, power, water, erosion control, and environmental protection practices required to completely execute the repair of the Matlacha Fishing Pier. The existing concrete walk approach, gravity wall, piles, and pile caps are intact. The scope will include a demo of the existing wood deck structure and associated equipment, water, and electrical supplies damaged as part of Hurricane Ian. The demo includes light poles, fire extinguishers and cabinets, aluminum pedestrian/bike trail, handrail, composite deck, and inner and outer stringers. Any Stainless-Steel stringer connection hardware deemed serviceable should be reused. The Bid Schedule reflects the required hardware to be purchased to complete this scope. The balance of the scope will include the reconstruction of the pier deck, pedestrian/bike trail, handrail, and all equipment and signage as shown in the contract documents.
