Renovation of a day care center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,891-square-foot day care center.

STATEMENT The members of the School Board and leadership of the Metropolitan School District of Warren Township are committed to ensuring the utilization of diverse suppliers on this Construction Project. The School Board remains committed to highlighting and reinforcing the District's commitment to supplier diversity. This resolution is a part of the project documentation and emphasizes the importance of diverse inclusion in the bidding process. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. Summary Project Description: Interior renovations to (5) rooms, approx. 1891 sq. ft. in the existing Early Childhood Center . B. Contract Scope: 1. Finish updates to Large Teacher's Lounge 4) Kitchen: Including refinishing and painting of existing casework, update of finishes and relocation of existing washer and dryer to an adjacent room. 2. Finish updates to Small Teacher's Lounge 3. Storage Room: Including reconfiguration and finish updates of room to provide access/connection to Large Teacher's Lounge. 4. Kitchen: Including refinishing and painting of existing casework, update of finishes and relocation of existing washer and dryer to an adjacent room. C. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum), with incentives. D. The currently occupied premises at the project site are open for examination by bidders only during the following hours BID SECURITY A. Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows: 1. Bid Bond of a sum no less than 10 percent of the Bid Amount on AIA A310 Bid Bond Form. Seciruty may be supplied as certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond for 10% of the base bid plus all additive Alternate bids payable to Metropolitan School District of Warren Township. TIME OF COMPLETION A. Bidders shall begin the Work on Receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be in compliance with Indiana statues regarding pre-qualification. B. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing thier respective trades and be able to obtain isurance and bonds required for Work. A performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. C. 110% performance and payment bonds will be required from successful bidders. Bonds shall be made only with approved surety companies and said bonds shall remain in force and effect for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of completion and acceptance of the longest guarantee provided under the contractor's contract.
