The City of University City hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of University City reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in the best interest of the City. The Scope of Work consists of the removal of specified trees and/or stumps ("Work") on an as needed basis for the city's FY24 (July 1, 2023 June 30, 2024), FY25 (July 1, 2024 June 30, 2025), FY26 (July 1, 2025 June 30, 2026), The contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision, labor, vehicles, and equipment capable of effective and efficient removal of specified trees and/or stumps as described in the Scope of Work section. The Contractor agrees not to discriminate on the grounds or because of race, creed, color, natural origin or ancestry and religion or lack thereof, against any employee or applicant for employment with said contractor. The contractor agrees to include a similar provision to the above in all sub-contracts let or awarded under this contract.
