As of September 12, 2023, project was awarded to McKim & Creed, Inc, awarded amount is $33,816.90. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the City for a period of forty-five days after the scheduled time of closing bids. This project generally consists of conducting a leak detection survey of the City's potable water distribution system in accordance with the project specifications. All proposals shall be sealed in an envelope, addressed to the City of Zion, attention Sheryl Spooner, City Clerk. The name, address and phone number of the bidder and the name of the project shall also appear on the outside of the envelope. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the Engineer. Contractors must purchase bid documents and be shown on the Bidder's Planholder List in order to bid. Bids received from contractors who are not in the Bidder's Planholder List will be rejected. A certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Zion, or a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. Bids will only be received from qualified companies. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, to postpone the bid opening, or to advertise for new proposals, if in the judgment of the City their best interests will be promoted thereby.
