The purpose of the Request for Proposal is to provide final design engineering for proposed improvements to CSAH 5 between TH 36 and - 200' North of Autumn Way. This project will include:
2" Mill and Bituminous Overlay
Bituminous Trail Reconstruction
ADA Pedestrian Ramps
Curb and Gutter Removal and Replacement
Traffic Control
Sign Replacement
Pavement Striping
A full topographic survey of the project corridor has been complete and will be provided to selected consultant. Scope of Work and Deliverables
All aspects of the scope of services outlined below and included herein are expected to be completed within the project deadlines. All reports/documentation must be developed and presented in Microsoft Office and all design files must be developed and presented in Microstation adhering to Washington County approved formats unless otherwise noted or requested by the Consultant with approval of the County. . Project Management
Project management and administration including monthly invoicing, schedule updating and communication with the necessary project personnel. The Project manager and lead designer should plan to meet with the County for one kick off virtual PMT meeting. Project Manager should then plan Bi-weekly 30-minute progress meetings with County staff and one 60% plan review meeting.
2.1.2. Utility Coordination
For the purposes of this RFP, "utilities" shall mean and include, but not be limited to, all privately, publicly, or cooperatively owned pipes, lines, antennas, or facilities for the distribution or transmission of electrical energy, gasoline, oil, natural gas, water, sewage, steam, cable TV, telephone or other material and communication lines and devices. A gopher state one locate has been obtained by the County for the project corridor. The consultant shall review the mapping and determine areas of conflict. All communications with utility owners along with utility owner coordination meetings will be handled by the County. All utilities located shall be shown on plans in accordance with the requirements of the "utility Notifications Law", Minnesota Statute Section 216D.04. 2.1.3. QA/QC Provide quality assurance and quality control checks of the compiled 60%, 90% and final plan set. Question Deadline 08/04/2023 at 4:00 PM CT Final Plan Submission February 2024.

Construction Spring/Summer 2024 The County reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities in the proposal request process. The County reserves the right to interview any, all, or none of the respondents at its discretion. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
