Construction of a new masonry garage building with manufactured stone and cementitious siding finishes and asphaltic roof shingles. Project also includes an interior build-out, asphalt and concrete paving, site restoration, and new utility services.Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. As a convenience to the Contractor, Digital Bidding Documents may be obtained from the following as an online download for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), paid by credit card. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Bethpage Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. The Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a two (2) year Maintenance Bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price as security for his faithful performance of this Contract, for the payment of all persons performing services and/or labor or furnishing materials in connection with this Contract for assurance that the work under this Contract shall be performed and maintained for two (2) years after completion as defined by the date of the Final Payment Request as prepared by the Engineer for the Contractor.
