The Peoria Park District is soliciting written quotes for Trail Drainage Improvements along the Rock Island Greenway between Reservoir Ave. and Paris Ave. (south of Bishop Ave.). Please note that the prevailing rate of wage including benefits for the Peoria area shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute this project or perform this work as required by the State of Illinois Department of Labor. All work performed in connection with this project shall be in compliance with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, rules, and national building codes. General: The intent of this project is to re-establish drainage along the bike trail, by grading the existing ditch to consistent grades and cross section. B. Schedule: Work must be completed by October 16, 2023. Award is intended for August 24, 2023. Question Deadline 08/08/2023 at 2:00 PM CT C. Materials: a. Machinery restrictions: The Rock Island Greenway pavement is very thin. Therefore, machinery and vehicles that need to access the trail pavement are limited in weight and wheel loading. Vehicles and machinery that will drive on the path pavement are limited to "1- ton" pickup trucks and rubber track skid steers and excavators. Exceptions can be made with the following conditions: i. The machines are tracked. 1. Insurance Requirements: A Certificate of Insurance and Endorsement with a minimum of one million ($1,000,000) of liability coverage, naming the Peoria Park District as Additional Insured, will be required, before work begins. Verification that all employees who will be working at the site are currently covered by Workers Compensation Insurance will also be required.
