In general, the Metro is requesting proposals from qualified certified companies to perform the diagnosis, analysis, and submission of documents of bus CNG tank/cylinder system inspection per U.S DOT's FMVSS 304 and NFPA 52 sect. This accounts for the inspection of 35 New Flyer Xcelsior buses with roof mounted cylinders and 9 Ford chassis cutaway vans with under mounted cylinders. This work consists of all labor, tools, and equipment required for procurement services, as well as all bonds, permits, and insurance necessary for this project and as required by Federal and State Laws and City Ordinances; and the general mobilization of equipment required for the completion of the work as stated in the RFQ Documents. The cost proposal shall include all permits and fees, as required, to perform the project, unless otherwise noted in the RFQ Documents. The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha acquire supplemental services from outside vendors to maintain an acceptable equipment quality. This includes, but is not limited to, the inspection of our vehicle CNG tanks and fuel system.
