The Giles County Board of Supervisors is accepting sealed bids from licensed contractors for the construction of the Newport Park Activity Center at 640 Blue Grass Trail, Newport, Virginia. The facility is approximately 2,000 square feet, single story, wood framed structure. This project does not fall under Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage requirements. The County reserves the right to waive any and all informalities and to cancel or reject any and all bids and to make an award of a contract deemed to be in the best interests of Giles County. The County may also negotiate with the lowest responsive bidder in the event the bid amount exceeds available funds. All applicable federal, state and/or local laws and requirements must be followed.
