Renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Strathmore, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for the addition of a 3,456-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is looking to add a new music/band space to their existing school facility to accommodate classes for Holy Cross Collegiate (HCC) High School students. HCC’s band room is currently located in the Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) elementary wing of the school. The current band room is in a partitioned room within the original elementary gymnasium. Once band room construction is finalized, partition walls within the gymnasium will be demolished and minor renovations will occur to increase the size and modernize the existing gymnasium facilities. 1) The modernization project will provide a: New 280m2 - 320m2 expansion to accommodate a new music space and connecting hallway for Holy Cross Collegiate. Modernization and renovation of an existing 420 m2 gymnasium. Potential future connection to existing portable classrooms may be considered (portable relocation is not included in the current project scope). 2) Phase 1 of this project will be the construction of the new music space and connecting hallway. Phase 2 is the modernization and renovation of the Sacred Heart Academy Gymnasium. The elementary gymnasium and existing music space will need to remain active during construction of Phase 1 to accommodate classes and activities.
