Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Indian Head, Maryland. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 2,619-square-foot military facility.
This amendment is to change the proposal submittal from Monday, 14 August 2023 no later than 3:00 PM (EDT) to MONDAY, 21 AUGUST 2023 NO LATER THAN 3:00 PM (EDT). Project Description The work includes removing the existing pavement, cutting the soil to achieve a level surface on the loading pit, and regrading the surrounding area to allow for safe transportation of explosives. This project will disturb the geosynthetic landfill cap at Installation Restoration site 42. Any alterations to the geosythetic cap will be replaced-in-kind so as to not change the existing function. Two retaining walls will be constructed on the sides of the loading pit.The soils around the landfill will need to be tested for hazardous materials and disposed of properly and incidental related work. 1.2.2 Location The work is located at the NSF Indian Head, MD, approximately as indicated. The exact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer.
