Gaston County is soliciting proposals for the services of a firm/team for the contract scope of work which include complete design drawings and bid package for the project, along with all plats and documents required for preliminary design and engineering for the following: Preliminary Engineering and Design of approximately 2,300 linear feet of sidewalk along Tryon Courthouse Road in Gaston County, NC. Any firm wishing to be considered must be properly registered with the Office of the Secretary of State and with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. The solicitation, selection, and negotiation of a contract shall be conducted in accordance with all NCDOT requirements and guidelines. Preliminary Engineering and Design of approximately 2,300 linear feet of sidewalk along Tryon Courthouse Road in Gaston County, NC. The new sidewalk is proposed to connect Creekside Manufactured Home Park / Neighborhood to Tryon Elementary School. The sidewalk will begin at Pine Spring Drive and extend north on the west side of Tryon Courthouse Road to Court Terrace. From there, a mid-block crosswalk is proposed, and sidewalk would then be constructed along the east side of Tryon Courthouse Road.
