Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Alamosa, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of October 16, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to August 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Alamosa, Colorado, hereinafter referred to as the City of Alamosa, is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultant firms to provide engineering design, surveying, and environmental services for a Federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funded project. The project limits are between 3rd Street and 6th Street on Hunt Avenue in the City of Alamosa. The project scope of work includes the design and construction of new curb and gutter, 10-foot sidewalks, ADA /PROWAG-compliant curb ramps with streetscaping on both sides of the street. Streetscaping will include interpretive signage, benches, movable planters, irrigation, landscaping, and street lighting. Project scope includes the cost of a full-depth construction of the roadway including excavation of substrate and installation of geotextile for stabilization as well as the replacement of the existing sanitary sewer main, installation of new storm drain pipe and laterals, sanitary sewer manholes, and new fire hydrants. The roadway and sidewalk in the 300 block have been recently resurfaced and the full road treatment may be excluded in the scope of work in order to allocate funds to other areas of the project.
