As of November 10, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Renovate Redcay Hall for Admissions and Institutional Advancement at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Redcay Hall is a two-story building with a partial basement that has a total area of approximately 42,000 GSF. The building was constructed in 1960 as a campus library and was subsequently repurposed for academic programs. The building currently houses classrooms and offices for the Sociology, Anthropology, Gender Studies, and Criminal Justice programs as well as Start-up NY incubator offices. The project is a full gut renovation of Redcay Hall for Admissions and Institutional Advancement. The Project will provide a comprehensive renovation of Redcay Hall including replacement of the roof, windows, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, as well as walkway and parking lot upgrades. The Project includes the removal of hazardous materials and will provide upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements.
