Site work for a water / sewer project in Hays, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of 2226 feet of 10" waterline along the future Fairground Road relocation up to the U.S. 183 and Frontier Road intersection; 88 feet of 12" waterline just south of the U.S. 183 and Frontier Road intersection, in the west ditch. In addition, this project includes the relocation of 3 existing fire hydrant settings, and the installation of a new fire hydrant setting Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Hays, Kansas, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded in excess of $100,000.00 will be required to furnish a Contract Bond and Payment Bond executed on the specific forms and acceptable to the City of Hays, Kansas, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount Bid. Contract Documents are on file and may be examined at the Public Works Department, 1002 Vine Street, Hays, KS 67601 (PH# 785-628-7310). The contract documents become the property of the prospective bidder and are not returnable. Digital copy can be obtained for no cost. City of Hays reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids/proposals, to waive any irregularities in such bids/proposals, and to accept such bids/proposals that are the most responsive and best suits the City of Hays. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 (sixty) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Hays, Kansas.
