Milpers Carpet and Tile Replacement for Building This requirement is for flooring replacement in the MILPERS section of building 8517. The current flooring is worn-out beyond repair and needs to be replaced with approximately 3,000 square feet of flooring while ensuring particulates/OSHA regulated Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are at safe exposure levels. The rooms requiring work will need office furniture moved by the contractor to have work performed and moved back before completion of work. Remove approximately 3,000 SF of flooring material that may consist of or be a combination of carpet, existing cove base, and floor adhesive. Install light brown ceramic/stone tile in room 111C Customer Service lobby and light blue carpet tile in DEERS terminals section, Back offices 1, and 2 of room 111C. 1.2. New cove base will be installed in all rooms with flooring being replaced (111C; Customer Service lobby, Terminals room, and back offices 1 and 2. The cove base will be dark blue and made of rubber/vinyl material. 1.3. Install transition strips where needed with 4"4ft cove base. 1.4. Bare concrete must be able to accept new adhesive within 7 days. 1.5. Protect doors, door frames, and windows, and any other Government assets from being damaged. 1.6. Building may be occupied, coordination with building occupants will be necessary to minimize impact on US Government mission. 1.7. Contractor will be responsible for moving 10 couches, 5 tables, 11 workstations, 3 file cabinets, and 1 full-sided refrigerator. Contractor will be responsible to move all items to their original after carpet and cove base install. 1.8. Contractor will supply all equipment; no Government assets will be used. 1.9. Area will be cleaned according to regulations so occupants can safely utilize area following project. 1.10.Contractor will provide the schedule of estimated phase of completion. Customer Service Lobby room 111C and Back-Offices 1 and 2 will be completed prior to Customer Service room 111C DEERS Terminal office area. 1.11.The dimensions of the room requiring work are as follows: Lobby - 1326 Sq feet, Terminals -738 Sq feet, Back Office 1 - 432 Sq Feet, and Back Office 2 - 432 Sq feet.
