Renovation of a mixed-use development in Orlando, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

As of October 3,2023, project is cancelled. Project is no longer needed. This project includes modifications to existing elevator controllers and systems to achieve Door Lock Monitoring functionality per 3.10.12 of ASME A17.3-2015. The four (4) elevator locations included in this project are as follows: John Young Toll Plaza, Boggy Creek Toll Plaza, Forest Lake South Toll Plaza, and Forest Lake North Toll Plaza. All work shall be completed no later than December 31, 2023. The Contract time for this project will be 60 calendar days. At the time of Bid submittal, Bidder as the "prime" contractor must be prequalified by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a Registered Elevator Company with a Certified Elevator Technician performing the work. A copy of the Bidder's current certificates shall be submitted with the Bid. Failure to submit the certificates at time of bid may result in rejection of the Bid. Prequalification is required irrespective of the contract amount. Central Florida Expressway Authority, in accordance with the Provisions of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 2000e et seq., the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, as amended, 760.10 et seq., Fla. The Guaranty shall be forfeited as liquidated damages if the Proposal is accepted and the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract under the conditions of the Proposal and said guaranty will be returned to the Successful Bidder upon the delivery of a satisfactory Public Construction Bond. All Bids shall remain open for acceptance by CFX for ninety (90) calendar days after the day of the Bid opening. All work shall be done in accordance with the Bidding Documents of the Central Florida Expressway Authority. Prohibition Against Considering Social, Political or Ideological Interests in Government Contracting: Bidders are hereby notified of the provisions of Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, as amended, which confirm that CFX will not request documentation of nor consider a Bidder's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the Bidder is a responsive or responsible Bidder. Bidders are further notified that CFX's Board shall not give preference to a Bidder based on the Bidder's social, political, or ideological interests. It is CFX's intent to award the project to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. CFX specifically reserves the right to take a Bidder's past performance with the CFX (and others) into consideration in determining whether the Bidder and Bid are responsive, responsible and qualified and most advantageous to CFX. A protest bond in the amount of $5,000.00 will be required to protest the Bid package or Bid solicitation. A protest bond in the amount of $5,000.00, or 1% of the lowest bid submitted, whichever is greater, will be required to protest a Notice of Intent to Award, or the CFX Board's selection determination. No protest bond is required to protest an outcome of a Pre-Award meeting The General Specifications set forth CFXs requirements as to a Performance and Payment Bond. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Contract to CFX, it must be accompanied by the required Performance and Payment Bond. The right is reserved by CFX to reject any or all Bids.
