SCOPE OF WORK: The existing membrane roof is not being replaced and shall be protected at all times from damage due to the contractor's work. o There is no existing inside access to the roof. The Contractor shall provide any lifts, ladders or other appropriate means to get personnel and materials to the roof for the entire duration of the project. o Construct a temporary, weather tight structure over the existing skylight to protect the interior of the building and maintain it for as long as contractor's operations necessitate. o Preparatory work inside the building which does not affect the integrity o the skylight, including selective demolition, sprinkler modifications and framing, may be performed prior to installation of the temporary structure required to protect the roof opening. o Remove the existing skylight in its entirety. o Complete new framing, sheathing, sprinkler modifications, roof drain and piping. o Install the new roof system on the infilled area. o Maintain the temporary structure until the new roof section can be made watertight. o Install new suspended ceiling and lighting. o Install the new curb and roof hatch.
