The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will be issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for dredging of the Federal Navigation Project (FNP) at the Portsmouth Harbor and Piscataqua River in Newington, New Hampshire and Elliot, Maine. This will be an unrestricted invitation for bid (IFB) requiring a hydraulic hopper dredge to perform the dredging work. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990 with a size standard of $37M. The estimated construction cost is expected to range from $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Dredging in the channel will be to a maximum elevation of -40' Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) and remove approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel. The dredged material will be hauled and placed at the previously used in-river placement site, just downstream from the dredging areas. The dredging and dredged material placement work is expected to take 4-6 weeks to complete. The available work window for the dredging and placement of dredged material is from 1 December 2023 to 15 March 2024. This is not an invitation for bids at this time.
