Renovation of a detention facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 5/17/2024, 2 PM The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting Bids for removal and replacement upgrade to VFD Controls on RTU Air Handlers at 703 Ball Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. All Mechanical to be interlocked with current DDC controls (Control Logic of West Michigan is contractor for Automated Logic Controls). Desired completion date by September 30, 2024. Some work will be performed in secure areas. Some work may be performed during alternate hours. Once the project is started, work will be continuous until the point of completion. All onsite personnel will need to pass a background check. inspection of current supply and return air motors and actuator controls Page 2 of 4 o Installation of new VFD controller. This is to include all necessary wiring, disconnect if needed, mounting hardware, conduit, and sensing controls. o Integration into existing BAS system. o Check, test, and start. o Verification of proper system operation in all housing units. Kent County, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, or award to the Respondent deemed most advantageous, while reserving the right to weigh other factors in the decision. Kent County reserves the right to waive irregularities of the Solicitation process or award by line item when applicable. Where price is a consideration, delivery, project schedule, warranty, maintenance, and life cycle costs will be utilized in evaluating this award. Each offer over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for 5% of the total amount of the offer. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file a certified dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. If requested, the Original Bid Bond must be received by the Kent County Purchasing Division within 2 business days of request. Bid Bonds of unsuccessful Respondents will be returned after the Solicitation is awarded. The Bid Bond of the successful Respondent will be retained until the contract is fully executed by all parties involved. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
