Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Fort Saskatchewan invites proposals from qualified proponents to provide design and construction services for the remediation to Parks Bridge Structure 107 located in West Rivers Edge Park. The scope of work for this project consists of the remediation to Park Bridge Structure 107 in West Rivers Edge Park. Scope of Work shall include: Brushing and/or clearing to fully expose bridge structure, including the wingwalls. Pile foundation design, Supply, set-up and installation of 4 steel screw piles. Exposed concrete piles to be broken off by use of jackhammering or similar means to no less that 24 inches below original ground. Design, supply and install 2 steel I-beams to be welded onto the screw pile. Beams to sit on new screw piles, maintaining the bridge deck elevation with asphalt trail. Removal and replacement of top damaged timber members of the Northeast wingwall (see photo 6 in Appendix C). And replacement of absent vertical supporting member on the northwest wingwall (see photo 4 in Appendix C). Restoration: The trail leading up to the bridge must be restored to a minimum of 3 meters on either side to provide for a smooth transition.
