Renovation of an educational facility in New Paltz, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

his project consists of providing all labor, supervision, project coordination, tools, equipment, demolition, legal removals, and the legal recycling & disposal of all construction waste for the President's Residence Roof Replacement, which is part of the SUNY New Paltz campus. The total roof area is approximately 4,500 Sq. Ft. and the main features of the "Base Bid" work shall include, but are not limited to the following: A second layer of architectural roof shingles over existing roof shingles for the main residence and over the garage. Provide and install new gutters and downspouts per drawings. Existing membrane roofing shall remain in place Provide and install new gutters and downspouts as per drawings. ADD/ALT #1 shall include: The removal and replacement of existing roofing materials of the main building structure including, but not limited to: roofing shingles, felt paper, existing roof flashing material, drip edges, any agreed upon deteriorated sheathing (up to 700 Sq. Ft.), etc. Provide and install new 30# felt as per drawings. Provide and install new ice and water barrio as per drawings. Provide and install new architectural asphalt roof shingles as per drawings. Provide and install new pipe boots and flashing at all penetrations. Provide and install new gutters and downspouts as per drawings. DD/ALT #2 shall include: The removal and replacement of all existing roofing materials including, but not limited to: roofing shingles, felt paper, existing roof flashing material, drip edges, etc. at the garage and connecting structure with single ply membrane roof. Provide and install new EPDM roofing membrane and protection board at connection between main house and garage as shown on drawings. Provide and install new 30# felt as per drawings. Provide and install new ice and water barrio as per drawings. Provide and install new architectural asphalt roof shingles as per drawings. Provide and install new pipe boots and flashing at all penetrations. Provide and install new gutters and downspouts as per drawings. There is no site visit. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. A Bid Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and women-owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. In compliance with the Procurement Lobbying Act signed into law by Governor Pataki in August, 2005, and effective January 1, 2006, permissible contact by an Offeror in relation to any specific procurement in excess of $15,000 should be made only with authorized personnel of SUNY New Paltz who are designated as the contact person(s), i.e. the designated Contacts. The restricted period for this procurement is defined as: August 4, 2023 until final contract approval by SUNY New Paltz or the Office of the State Comptroller as may be required. Contractor should arrive early so that you can purchase a parking ticket. All visitors who park on the SUNY New Paltz campus must display a valid Visitor Parking Permit on the vehicle's dashboard or hanging from the rear view mirror, Monday - Friday between 6:30 am - 6:30 pm. Visitor permits are $3.00 and can be obtained from the Welcome Center in the Haggerty Administration lobby and the Parking Office in HAB 35 Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm (summer hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm). Park & Pay machines are located in the entrance of Rt. 32 Lot #28, West entrance located on Hawk drive, off Rt. 208 and Lot 5 adjacent to Parker Theater. A Visitor Permit is valid for the date of purchase only. (View our campus map.) Day passes purchased from the Park & Pay machines are date-stamped for 24 hours from purchase time. They must be purchased each day if necessary and cannot be pre-brought. Visitor permits allow visitors to park in any lot on campus EXCEPT for resident student lots.
