**As of April 11, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. No anticipated date determined yet. The project includes redevelopment of the Village's existing Hiawatha Park which is located on the north end of the Village on Lake Street along the South Branch of the Ausable River. The project involves the removal of 2 buildings, dredging of the cove (connected to the river) and brush removal to improve a navigable connection to the river. The project also involves construction of a new restroom building with storage and vending machine rooms, a new parking lot, and a patio overlooking the river cove with ADA accessible kayak launch, an observation deck overlooking the river, paved pathways and a gazebo/pavilion. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project.
