The specific work to be undertaken by the successful firm for the comprehensive parks and recreation master planning process, for the City of Marco Island; respondents should include in their proposals, how they will assist the City of Marco Island with completing this work. Some elements identified below may be eliminated or modified for this project. In their submittals, firms should propose additions or edits to this scope that lend to the best process. Following the firm selection process, a meeting will be held with the successful firm to negotiate the final scope of work and a contract for services. Therefore, the City of Marco Island reserves the right to revise the final scope of work. The cost to prepare the proposal and travel to project interviews shall be the full responsibility of the proposer. The City of Marco Island Parks and Recreation Master Plan focus is to provide unique recreation experience to the public, both residents and visitors. The City's parks, open space, and recreation facilities contribute to the health of the communitys residents, enhance the conservation, integrity, and quality of the natural environment, and attract visitors to the community, thereby contributing to local tourism and economic development. To optimize the Citys existing parks and recreation resources and assets, as well as strategically plan for the future desired Level of Service (LOS), the city wishes to produce a Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
